What's better than one Christmas?

TWO CHRISTMASES! One of the best things about being married is that you get two Christmases every year, which means double the presents and the fun! And we get a whole month, thanks to USU's awesome long winter break, to do it.

Braden and I made a ruffled tree skirt DIY I saw off of Pinterest. It's more a rosy champagne color than dusty pink here in the photo. It took hours and hours to make, but we listened to Christmas music and worked away like little elves.

For Christmas treats I made a huge batch of dark and white chocolate bark with almonds and peppermint Andes chocolates. We had so much I gave it away and sent it to my family and we still had tons left over.

After staying at Braden's parents house for 2 weeks and celebrating Christmas Eve (when they like to have the big dinner and see family), we opened presents that night and flew out the next morning, Christmas day. We always fly out on Christmas day because it's the cheapest and least crowded! My family celebrates on the 25th and we open presents at night after dinner so Braden and I can be a part of it too. Also, I'm the oldest of the siblings (and the mastermind of Christmas presents) so I'm usually the one picking out gifts for my family and then wrapping everything when I get to Atlanta. So we stay at my parents for about 2 weeks and head home to start school after that. This year we played Just Dance 3 with my family and cousin's family and it was so unbelievably addicting! Our family loves singing and dancing so it was a blast.

The best and most crazy intense game of Jenga ever played by man. It went on impossibly long and when we all thought, there is no way it can go another round, it did for like 5 rounds! My mom was so good at it and we all ended up buying her ice cream with the money we bet. John finally lost it for us.

My mom spoils us with Christmas goodies every year. My dad didn't know she already got treats and bought us some too! We seriously eat so much at my parent's house. My mom is known for being the best cook for miles and miles around and our kitchen always smells amazing.

Playing our Christmas gift from my brother, Power Grid. We played it so many times, eating our Hickory Farms loot. Every year we go to the Georgia Mall and clean out the Hickory Farms meat/cheese/candy that they put on ridiculous sale after Christmas.

Christmas is also the only time I get to see my baby! Wesley, my little dog that Braden bought me for my 19th birthday. He is super excitable and so fun to come home to at Christmas. He freaks out and won't calm down for an hour and keeps bringing us all of his toys. He's always so fluffy and furry at this time of year because it's winter and I think he looks exactly like the dust bunnies on The Big Comfy Couch.
